This Great South Morocco Tour and holiday will take you on a fantastic journey through the Southern lands of Morocco. You will experience an authentic trip by exploring Kasbahs (Ait benhaddou-telouat-Amridil-taourirt-tamnaugalt), unreached towns and Berber Villages which include off-road trails only accessible by 4×4. You will visit cave dwellers and meet nomads of Desert Morocco. You will visit many beautiful valleys including Roses, One thousands Casbahs, Daraa (date palms grove),Ziz oases and also the Gorges such as Dades and Todra. Great South & Kasbahs Road (9 Days)- Marrakech Tours in Morocco
Day 1: Marrakech
Upon arrival at Menara Airport in Marrakesh , we will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel or Riad where you can relax and will spend the night.
Day 2: Marrakech – Tizi N’tichka Pass – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaa M’gouna
Today after the breakfast, we pick you up from your Hotel in Marrakech, and departure to the south east of Morocco over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), having a stop for lunch in a local restaurant in Ouarzazate. In the Afternoon we will drive to Skoura and stop near the Kasbah of Amridil for a photo or a visit then continue to the city of roses for a panoramic view of valley of roses. After that you will pass by the center of Kalaa M’gouna to reach the hotel for a night. Dinner and overnight at the Kasbah hotel.
Day 3: Kelaa M’gouna – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges – Boumalne – Tineghir – Todra Gorges.
This morning after breakfast in the hotel, Leaving Kalaa Mgouna towards Todra Gorges. The journey continues through the Valley of Roses then cross the off-road with the possibility to visit nomad family living in caves. You will visit the dades gorges and see the rock formations. After that heading to Boulmane du Dades and have a break for lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Tineghir then to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous views of Canyons. Dinner and overnight in Kasbah hotel.
Day 4: Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Touroug town – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi (Merzouga).
This morning, you will walk around the Palm Plantations and enjoy the panoramic views of Todra River. Later on, we drive toward Tinjedad for a lunch meal on a local restaurant. Later you will pass by several villages such us Touroug (Berber village) and El-Jarf before reaching Erfoud. You will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp or an overnight in traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’kob – Zagora
Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower. Later on, we will drive to Zagora via Rissani, Alnif and N’kob. you will have time to invetigate the souk of Rissani then drive to Alnif, home of trilobite. Later , we continue to N’kob for lunch. After lunch we will drive along draa valley to reach zagora. Dinner and Overnight in a Hotel.
Day 6: Zagora – Kasbah of Tamnaugalt – Agdz – Ouarzazate
This morning we will visit the Tamegroute village: you will visit the ancient library and a factory of pottery. Later on we will drive to Ouarzazate passing back by zagora while enjoying the larget valley of palm trees in Morocco. we will take a trail to reach the Kasbah of Tamnaugalt situated on the palm groves of Daraa Valley for a visit. We will have a stop also Chez Yaakoub for lunch. Later on, we will cross Ait saoun Mountains to reach Ouarzazate while enjoying the formations of rocks. Dinner and overnight in a Riad or Hotel.
Day 7 : Ouarzazate-Ait benhaddou-Telouet-Tizi N’tichka Pass- High Atlas Mounatins-Marrakech.
Today after breakfast in the hotel. You will have time to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon we will drive to the Kasbah of Telouet and stop for a visit then we continue to the red city of Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrival to Marrakech then we take you to the hotel or Riad. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 8: Marrakech Sightseeing Tour With Official Guide.
Today after breakfast in the hotel, you will start to visit the most interesting monuments and attractions of the red city of Marrakech with a local guide who will provide you with more details. Enjoy an optional lunch in a restaurant then investigate the local markets. You will be returned to your hotel for relax. Enjoy your evening in the square of Jamaa Al fna. The dinner will be optional this night. Overnight in a riad or hotel.
Day 9: Marrakech
Today we will transfer you to Marrakech Airport for your flight back home.
